Edge Climate Action Workstream
Edge Climate Action Workstream
Since its very first debates and discussions the Edge has focused on the need for action in the face of climate change and global heating and it sees the issue as one in which collaboration and cross-professional working is an essential requirement. The very cause that the Edge exists to promote.
From Edge Debate #4 , held in October 1997, which discussed Sustainability and Energy Consumption in Buildings to the launch in June 2021 of Carbon Zero: the professional institutions’ climate action plan, facilitated by the Edge for the CIC, the Edge has been active in promoting a joint approach to tackling the climate emergency and recognising the responsibility that the built environment bears as both cause and potential solution.
This page brings together many of the Edge’s inititatives on the subject.
